Two KBR residents accused of discrediting army

The administrative cases on discrediting Russian militaries initiated against Murat Kumykov and Irina Slavkina have arrived in courts of the cities of Nalchik and Prokhladny.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 4, liability was introduced for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces; and Russian residents began being prosecuted under this article. On June 1, a court in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) fined Olga Olkhova, a local resident, for discrediting Russian militaries in her post in a social network. According to her story, during interrogation, law enforcers put pressure on her and forced her to write an explanatory note with a confession.
