In Q2 2022, two persons were killed in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
Since April 1 to June 30, 2022, at least 2 people fell victim to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. Both were killed in Dagestan. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.
The casualties killed in May in the territory of the Leninsky District of Makhachkala had links, according to official data, with militants. The Russian FSB reported that they had prepared a terror act; and weapons and an improvised explosive device (IED) were found in the venue. The militants killed during the counterterrorist operation (CTO) had been preparing a terror act at one of the energy facilities, the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has informed, adding that there were no losses among law enforces, and no victims among the civilian population.
As to April and June this year, no victims of the armed conflict were recorded.
Earlier, in Quarter 1 of 2022, there were no reports about any victims; while in Quarter 2 of 2021, one person was killed.
