Chechen initiates campaign against Leonid Agutin's concert in Stavropol

The performers, Leonid Agutin and Klava Koka, whose concerts were scheduled on the City Day in Stavropol, are opposing the state policy, public figures have stated in their appeal to the governor of the Stavropol Territory. They called on him to cancel the singers' concert.

Public activists have signed an appeal to Vladimir Vladimirov, the Governor of the Stavropol Territory, in which they asked to ban Leonid Agutin and Klava Koka from performing at the Stavropol festival "At the Height".

"Unfortunately, the Stavropol Territory is increasingly becoming a platform for a sort of 'restart' for a number of performers, who openly oppose the policy of our state, our values, and traditions of culture and faith," the authors wrote in their appeal that has been posted today by Saipuddin Guchigov, the head of the movement "Our home is city of Grozny", in his page in the "VKontakte" social network.

In March this year, Leonid Agutin, a singer and composer, spoke out, in his Instagram* page, against the special operation in Ukraine, urging politicians to come to an agreement. At the same time, he called himself a patriot of his country.

As of 10:50 p.m. Moscow time on September 13, the appeal to the governor was signed by eight activists of public organizations, including Saipuddin Guchigov.
