Kremlin reacts to Kadyrov’s criticism of Russian military commanders
When commenting on the sharp criticism of Russian military commanders by the leader of Chechnya, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has noted that emotions are inappropriate in assessing the actions of the Russian Ministry of Defence, although Ramzan Kadyrov, being the head of the region, has the right to express his own opinion.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on October 1, Ramzan Kadyrov criticized the Russian MoD for the decision to withdraw troops from the town of Krasny Liman because of the threat of being encircled. The leader of Chechnya also proposed to declare martial law in the border territories and use nuclear weapons.
In response, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the heads of regions have the powers to express their point of view and give assessments. According to the Russian presidential press secretary, Ramzan Kadyrov “made a very great contribution to the conduct of the special military operation.”
At the same time, the Russian presidential press secretary has emphasized that “even in difficult situations, emotions should be excluded from any assessments.”
Let us remind you that on September 22, Ramzan Kadyrov expressed his sharp dissatisfaction with the exchange of prisoners of war (POWs) with Ukraine. Earlier, the leader of Chechnya accused the Russian Ministry of Defence of mistakes made in the Kharkov Region.
In May, Dmitry Peskov explained that his mutual criticism with the leader of Chechnya is of friendly nature. The Kremlin is ready to forgive Ramzan Kadyrov any actions while it considers him a guarantor of stability and a symbol of the Vladimir Putin’s victory in Chechnya, political analysts point out.
