CEC of Nagorno-Karabakh announces final election results

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Nagorno-Karabakh has made public the final results of the presidential election, according to which Bako Saakyan was declared President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR).

After verification of all the data, the final results look as follows:
- Total voters registered - 92,114 persons;
- Total voters who cast their ballot papers - 71,286 persons;
- Ballot paper recognized null and void - 1,594 ballot papers.

The votes have got distributed as follows:
- Armen Abgaryan - 867 votes;
- Vanya Avanesyan - 212 votes;
- Masis Mailyan - 8,734 votes;
- Grant Melkumyan - 554 votes;
- Bako Saakyan - 59,326 votes.

The USA and the European Union have stated their non-recognition of the presidential election in Nagorno-Karabakh and non-acceptance of their results. This position was welcomed by Azerbaijan, who had announced the election in the NKR to be illegitimate.
