Law enforcers report detention of terrorists in Dagestan and Chechnya

In Dagestan and Chechnya, members of the interregional terrorist community were detained, who, on the instructions of emissaries from the "Islamic State" (IS)*, were transporting people to Syria and Ukraine for taking part in hostilities against Russian militaries.

According to investigators, on the instructions of emissaries of the IS*, a terrorist organization banned in Russia, their subordinates transported local residents from Dagestan and Chechnya to Syria and Ukraine to participate in hostilities against Russian militaries.

"From December 2021 to the present, 11 Russian citizens, including the organizer of the terrorist community, have been detained and arrested in Dagestan, Chechnya, the Tyumen region and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug," the FSB website has reported.

Investigators believe that the organizer and 18 participants created an interregional network, the task of which was to supply the IS* with resources, including funding.

On November 2, the FSB announced the arrest of a resident of Stavropol, suspected of preparing an arson attack on an administrative building on the instruction of a Ukrainian radical organization.
