Experts' conclusions prove defence's version of journalist Gadjiev's innocence

At the trial, an expert of the forensic examination centre of the Russian Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has confirmed the conclusions of his colleagues about the absence of any crime attributes in the publications by Abdulmumin Gadjiev; and this corresponds to the version of the journalist's innocence, his defence asserts. The work of the centre experts gives no reason to doubt their competence, the advocates have noted.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 10, at a court session on the case of Abdulmumin Gadjiev, Kemal Tambiev and Abubakar Rizvanov, the examination results of Gadjiev's articles posted in the "Chernovik" outlet were announced. The examination found that the articles contained no signs of inciting people to transfer money to a charitable fund or overthrow the power, no signs of promoting any terrorist organizations or incitement of hostility and hatred towards law enforcers.

Since June 2019, Gadjiev, Abubakar Rizvanov, the head of the "Ansar" charity fund, and Kemal Tambiev have been in custody on charges of financing terrorism.

The experts' conclusions coincided with the defence's position, Arsen Shabanov, an advocate, has noted.

The experts work at Southern Centre for Forensic Expertise of the Russian MoJ, whose expertise inspires confidence, Magomed Sutakuev, another advocate, has added, in particular.
