Volgograd citizen fined for discrediting Russian Armed Forces
In Volgograd, a court fined local resident Yuri Goryushkin 30,000 roubles after recognizing that his comments on the social media had discredited the Russian Armed Forces.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on March 4, 2022, liability for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces was introduced in the country, after which residents of the south of the country and the republics of Northern Caucasus began to be brough to responsibility under the new article.
According to the investigators’ version, Yuri Goryushkin, the head of the economic department of the children’s polyclinic in Volgograd, posted a pacifist comment on the “Odnoklassniki” social network, which undermined confidence in the special military operation being carried out in Ukraine.
Yuri Goryushkin wrote on the social media that some residents of Russia might face liability for refusing to take part in the special military operation and that thus they could not refuse to participate in it. At trial, Yuri Goryushkin pleaded guilty and repented. The court fined him 30,000 roubles, the “Kavkaz. Realii”* reports.
Let us remind you that on January 20, it became known that a court fined Vyacheslav Tolstonozhenko, a resident of Volzhsky, 30,000 roubles, recognizing the inscription on the poster with which the man went to a solo picket to be discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.
