Law enforcers have found the alleged attackers on the DPS (road-and-patrol service) traffic police post in a farm in Malgobek; the suspects opened fire on law enforcers; they wounded one of them and managed to escape, a law enforcement source has informed.
The counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime has been declared in the Malgobek District of Ingushetia.
On March 29, after the attack on the DPS post, the Ingush branch of the Russian FSB (Federal Security Service) announced the search for four residents of the republic – Mikail Moshkhoev, Ramazan Eldiev, Amir Bokov and Amirkhan Gurazhev, suspected of preparing terror acts. On the same day it became known that Ramazan Eldiev was found dead. On April 1, the FSB branch announced that not only Moshkhoev, Bokov and Gurazhev were wanted, but also Adam Ozdoev and Movsar Kottoev. All the five are suspected by law enforcers of involvement in the attack on a DPS post committed on March 27, as a result of which two law enforcers were wounded.
Law enforcers have come to the trail of the alleged attackers on the DPS post located on the Ingush-North-Ossetian border. The men were hiding on a farm owned by the uncle of one of the wanted men. They stayed there for several days. The farm owner has been detained, the newspaper "Ingushetia" has reported.
"Suspicious persons were found who opened fire from automatic weapons at law enforcers," the source has informed.
According to his version, the attackers fled, and during the shootout a policeman received a tangential wound.
