When they tried to detain them, the militants opened fire. Three policemen perished, and eight others were wounded. The militants managed to escape.
According to the source, one of the detained relatives of one of the militant is also suspected of aiding his nephew and others wanted on suspicion of armed attacks, including the attack on the DPS (road-and-patrol service) traffic police post located on the Ingush-North-Ossetian border.
"According to preliminary data, one of the suspects is a brother of the alleged gang member, Movsar Kottoev, whose body was found in the village of Aki-Yurt on April 5. The other two are his uncles," the "Interfax" reports.
The attack on the above DPS post was committed at night on March 28. After that, law enforcers announced that six residents of Ingushetia were wanted on suspicion of preparing terror acts, namely: Mikail Moshkhoev, Ramazan Eldiev, Amir Bokov, Amirkhan Gurazhev, Adam Ozdoev and Movsar Kottoev.
