Astrakhan Region resident fined for discrediting Russian army

Aslbek Aitakov, a resident of the Astrakhan Region, was fined 30,000 roubles for his comment on the social media criticizing the special military operation in Ukraine.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on April 2, it became known that Astrakhan residents Alexander Shinkorenko and Kseniya Tsulimova were fined for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.

According to the “OVD-Info”*, a protocol was drawn up against Aslbek Aitakov for his comment on the “VKontakte” social media outlet. In his comment, the man calls into question the official reasons for the start of the special military operation.

Let us remind you that on March 4, 2022, liability for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces was introduced. The maximum penalty under the new article provides for a fine, and repeated violation within a year threatens with criminal prosecution.
