Dagestani resident fined for his comments on social media

In Buynaksk, a court fined Magomed Saidbegov for his pacifist comments on the social media.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on March 4, 2022, the liability for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces was introduced, after which residents of the country, including the regions of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) and the Southern Federal District (SFD), began to be brought to responsibility. According to lawyers, the main danger of the new article is that a repeated violation within a year implies criminal prosecution.

The Buynaksk City Court fined Magomed Saidbegov for his pacifist comments on the social media. Magomed Saidbegov declared his remorse in court, asking it to resort to a fine only, the “Kavkaz.Realii”* reports.

  • Compensation decrease for illegal prosecution violates rights of KBR resident

The court ruling, which awarded Madin Gubzhokov compensation of 30,000 roubles for unlawful criminal prosecution, is incomparable with the moral harm caused by the actions of Azamat Kyaov, a former law enforcer.
