Abramov from Krasnodar faces risk of sending to SMO zone

The medical commission has found Alexei Abramov, a resident of Krasnodar, mobilized with spinal hernias, as partially fit for military service. His wife has stated that he is being prepared for sending to the special military operation (SMO) zone in Ukraine.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after returning from the SMO zone, Abramov, who had been mobilized with multiple spinal hernias, was sent to Dagestan to undergo a medical examination. He had lost documents about his illnesses, his wife said.

Because of his serious illness of the backbone and severe pains, Abramov, while in the SMO zone, could not walk and wear a bulletproof vest, Ksenia Abramova, his wife, said in November 2022. On December 15, 2022, the court failed to satisfy Abramov's lawsuit against the decision to mobilize him.

The military medical commission has awarded Abramov with category "C" (limited fit for military service); and they are going to send him to the SMO zone, his wife said.

According to the law, category "C" is not a basis for refusing to be sent to the SMO zone, Alexander Peredruk, an advocate, has noted. According to his version, if Abramov refuses to be sent to the SMO zone, he may be held liable up to criminal prosecution.
