Russian Embassy reacts to calls to expel Caucasian natives from France

French authorities have actually curtailed cooperation with Russia in the law enforcement sphere, the Russian Embassy has stated in its comment on French authorities' statements about their intention to intensify contacts on possible expulsion of North-Caucasian natives.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 13, 2023, a school teacher was killed in the city of Arras; and two more people were stabbed. According to the BFMTV source, the attacker was a 20-year-old native of Chechnya. About 60 people, including natives from Northern Caucasus, will be expelled from France.

Mokhamed Mogushkov, the suspect in the attack, has lived in France since childhood and was not influenced by radical ideas in Russia, the Russian Embassy has stated, adding that French authorities have practically stopped cooperation with Russia in the law enforcement sphere and fail to respond to the requests submitted under the existing agreements.
