Kabardino-Balkaria continues trend of awarding Adam Kadyrov
The leader of Kabardino-Balkaria handed the republic’s highest award over to Adam Kadyrov, a Chechen leader’s son, who beat in a SIZO (pre-trial prison) Nikita Zhuravel, arrested in a case on the burning of the Koran.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on November 6, Ismail-Khadji Berdiev, Mufti of Karachay-Cherkessia, awarded Adam Kadyrov with the Order of Merit for the Ummah (Muslim community). Later, the leader of Tatarstan awarded Adam Kadyrov the Order of Duslyk (Friendship), and Rashid Temrezov, the leader of Karachay-Cherkessia, handed the Order of Merit for the Karachay-Cherkessian Republic over to Ramzan Kadyrov’s son. On October 6, it became known that Adam Kadyrov was awarded the title of Hero of Chechnya.
Kazbek Kokov, the leader of Kabardino-Balkaria, reported on in his Telegram channel about the award to Adam Kadyrov. According to the leader of Kabardino-Balkaria, “it is important for the peoples of the Caucasus and all of Russia to maintain unity and strengthen their friendly ties.”
The Order of Merit for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic is the highest state award of the republic. It is awarded to citizens, in particular, for “outstanding services in the establishment of statehood” and those who “displayed valour and courage in protecting public order.”
