Murder of Maysky settlement resident

On August 2003 Russian soldiers on several armored troop-carriers without number plates drove into the environs of Maysky settlement in the Nadterechny region of Chechnya. According to information obtained from local residents, the armored cars stayed in the settlement for about 40 minutes.

After the armored cars had left the settlement, a dead body of a man was found on the place where the cars had stood. The man, who fell a victim to an extrajudicial death penalty executed by the Russian soldiers, was not identified.
