Posts in messenger result in fine imposed on Grozny resident

A court in Grozny has fined Magomed-Emi Saidov, a local resident, concluding that his posts placed in the Telegram messenger were aimed at discrediting the Russian Armed Forces.

According to investigators, Saidov had placed the posts that were later recognized by the Republic's Centre for Forensic Expertise as extremist and aimed at discrediting the Russian Army.

Saidov has admitted his guilt; the court took this into account and fined him by 15,000 roubles, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that last December the Shali District Court of Grozny stopped the case against local resident Magomed-Salakh Dedeev, accused of discrediting Russian militaries.
