Father of girl missing in Dagestan asks Putin to help with searching her

Anna Tsomartova, an athlete, was last seen in the FSB sanatorium in Kaspiysk, after which she disappeared, Nikolai Tsomartov, her father, has stated in his petition posted on the Change.org website. He has asked Russian President, Vladimir Putin, to help with the inquiry.

The search for Tsomartova has been ongoing since February 12. Her mother said that her daughter disappeared in Kaspiysk after she lost a tournament and was depressed. Investigators have opened a murder case, but a kidnapping version is also being considered.

Nikolai Tsomartov has explained in his petition that on February 10, his daughter was in Kaspiysk for a Thai boxing tournament. After the fight, she went for a walk along the embankment and did not return to the hotel.

Some commentators on the Instagram* public "echo.dagestan" have doubted that the Russian President would react to the petition. Other users have supported Anna's relatives.

*On March 21, 2022, the Tverskoi Court of Moscow banned the activities in Russia of the Meta Company, owning the Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, in connection with extremist activities.
