In February 2024, a policeman was wounded and three people were killed in armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

In February 2024, three perished persons were recorded during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. In Chechnya, three suspected militants were killed and a policeman was wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from open sources.

On February 14, in the village of Stary Achkhoi, Achkhoi-Martan District of Chechnya, three people with firearms attacked a policeman and were shot dead. Investigators said one policeman was wounded. Ramzan Kadyrov stated that two members of a grouping that had planned attacks on law enforcers were detained.

In other regions of Northern Caucasus (Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia-Alania and Stavropol Territory) no armed incidents or perished persons in the armed conflict were recorded in February 2024.

The above statistics cannot show the number of victims with 100 percent accuracy. Not all the data is included into news reports. It is not always possible to verify how true the statements of law enforcement bodies are; and new data about the events of the reporting period sometimes become known after the publication of statistics on the "Caucasian Knot".

Earlier, in January 2024, during the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus, there were no reports of any victims.
