PO reacts to Melnichenko's complaint about disclosure of his personal data

The Prosecutor's Office (PO) of the Tsentralny District of Volgograd has invited the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) to consider on the merits the appeal lodged of Roman Melnichenko about the disclosure of his personal data on air of the local TV Company.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that personal data of some Volgograd residents was disclosed on air on the "Volgograd-1" TV channel. Lawyers pointed to signs of criminal offenses in actions of the channel's journalists, who had disclosed the names and workplaces of the city residents who came with flowers to the monument to the victims of political repressions after Alexei Navalny's death.

Roman Melnichenko, who was fired from the Volgograd State University for his oppositional statements, has filed a complaint with the above PO against the TV channel, which has disclosed his personal data and accused him of sabotage because of the action in memory of Alexei Navalny.
