Two persons killed by law enforcers during a counterterrorist operation (CTO) in Nalchik have been identified as residents of Kabardino-Balkaria, investigators report.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on April 11, during the CTO carried out in Nalchik, law enforcers killed two persons. The killed suspects were members of a cell of an international terrorist organization and were planning terror acts in Kabardino-Balkaria, the National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) reported. An investigator reported that a criminal case had been instituted regarding an attack on the lives of law enforcers and illegal trafficking in firearms and explosives.

The killed suspects have been identified, reports the spokesperson for the Investigating Department for Kabardino-Balkaria of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF). “They were residents of Kabardino-Balkaria, born in 1997 and 2004,” the TASS reports.
