Rostov Region resident claims her sick husband forcibly sent to SMO zone
Alexei Motorny from the Rostov Region was detained and forcibly sent to the special military operation zone, despite a heart attack he suffered, claimed his spouse Svetlana. The woman is seeking her husband’s return home.
According to his wife’s version, in June 2022, Alexei Motorny volunteered for participation in the special military operation (SMO) and signed a three-month contract. While staying in the SMO zone, the man was shell-shocked, got burns, and doctors diagnosed him with a heart attack. After medical treatment, the man was supposed to undergo a medical examination and resign for health reasons.
While Alexei Motorny was undergoing medical treatment, his contract was not closed and his dismissal from the army was postponed. On April 5, a man who failed to present his ID hit a car of the Alexei Motorny’s family, forced Alexei out of the car, “hit him in the face, knocked him to the ground, and tore his clothes, although Alexei did not resist,” the “ASTRA” Telegram channel reported with reference to Svetlana.
After the incident, Alexei Motorny was brought to a military commandant’s office, where he was informed of a criminal case instituted against him for leaving his military his unit without permission. Alexei Motorny and his advocate were not allowed to look through the case materials, noted the Rostov Region resident’s wife.
On June 1, the military commandant’s office announced that Alexei Motorny and other men should pack their personal belongings, “they were herded into buses” and taken away to some unknown destination, the woman said. According to her version, about 60 people have been sent to the SMO zone, and now those men are “to form assault squads.”
Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” has reported that in Rostov-on-Don, military man Vladislav Korneev was sentenced to 2.5 years of imprisonment for absence from service, including during the period of mobilization.
