SMO fighter from Dagestan complains to Putin about infringement of his wife's labour rights
While in the special military operation (SMO) zone in Ukraine, Top Sergeant Sultanali Akhmedov has recorded a video appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of Dagestan Sergey Melikov. He has stated that his wife's labour rights had been violated by the village council; she faced the threat of dismissal, while local authorities take no action in response to her complaints.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that SMO fighters, including those from Dagestan, are periodically recording video appeals to authorities with complaints about the problems faced by their family members or relatives. Thus, on April 26, a military serviceman from Dagestan recorded a video appeal addressed to the head of the republic, Sergey Melikov, asking him to help solve the problem of his family, which was facing the threat of eviction.
The video appeal by Sultanali Akhmedov, a SMO fighter from the village of Akhty, Akhty District of Dagestan, was posted in the "VKontakte" social network. His wife works as a specialist in the Akhty village council. According to the fighter, one of her managers puts pressure on her, discriminates and tries to fire her.
"Here I'm defending my homeland, but over there they're infringing on my wife," Sultanali has complained, adding that local officials take no action.
