Chechen resident publicly apologizes for incident on beach in Mariupol
Vakhid Ilyasov, a resident of Chechnya, publicly apologized for driving his car onto a beach in Mariupol, after which he got into an altercation with local residents.
In a video posted on the “ChP Chechnya” YouTube channel, several people requested Vakhid Ilyasov to remove his SUV car from the beach and park it in the parking lot, like other drivers.
“Try to force me,” Vakhid Ilyasov said in response to the demands of the vacationers.
A video with the apologies voiced by Vakhid Ilyasov was posted by Apti Alaudinov, the commander of the “Akhmat” special forces, in his Telegram channel.
“I would like to note that, being a representative of the Chechen people, I should not have act like that,” Vakhid Ilyasov said in the video.
The man has also added that Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of Chechnya, demands from residents and natives of the republic to comply with the law, culture, and customs of the countries and regions in which they stay.
In their comments posted in Apti Alaudinov’s Telegram channel, some social media users expressed the opinion that Vakhid Ilyasov apologized as a result of pressure from the authorities of Chechnya.
The apologies voiced by Vakhid Ilyasov were preceded by criticism of him from Apti Alaudinov. On July 18, the commander of the “Akhmat” special forces stated in his Telegram channel that the behaviour of Vakhid Ilyasov does not comply with the Ramzan Kadyrov’s policy and development concept.
