Derbent Mayor speaks out in support of Kerimov

Derbent is ready to support Suleiman Kerimov at any time, Akhmed Kuliev, the city Mayor after the Chechen leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, had threatened Kerimov with a blood feud.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 12, after the Chechen leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, had threatened Senator Suleiman Kerimov with a blood feud, Sergey Melikov, the head of Dagestan, recalled the Senator's charitable projects and promised that the republic "would always support him in difficult times."

On October 9, Ramzan Kadyrov, while speaking about the conflict around the Wildberries Company, mentioned Suleiman Kerimov, Senator from Dagestan, and Russian State Duma MPs, Bekkhan Barakhoev and Rizvan Kurbanov. He called on them to prove their non-involvement in ordering his murder and warned of his readiness to declare a blood feud against them. For more details about the conflict, watch the video.

Suleiman Kerimov has entered the history of Derbent history as a person who made a significant contribution to the city development, the city's Mayor Akhmed Kuliev has stated in his Telegram channel.

"The good that he did for all of us cannot be forgotten. Therefore, we'll always be with him and will provide support at any time," the Mayor has emphasized.
