Songs of Rostov musicians anger pro-government activists

After musicians from the “Kasta” band from Rostov-on-Don presented their new album, the “Veterans of Russia” public movement found a reason to request an investigation into the musicians’ activities for their alleged assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The request of the “Veterans of Russia” public movement to recognize the “Kasta” band as foreign agents and check them for possible connections with the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was noted by the “Bloknot Rostov-on-Don” portal. The reason for the criticism was the publication by the “Kasta” band on the Internet about the presentation of the new album entitled “New Foreign Rap”. Activists saw Russophobic actions in the new songs of the “Kasta” band.

“The new lyrics of the ‘Kasta’ band contain dangerous ideas that can pose a threat to state security and the unity of Russian society,” the “Veterans of Russia” public movement stated on its Telegram channel.

The activists’ post explains that one of the most controversial compositions is the song entitled “Emigrant To Emigrant”. According to the activists’ version, in their song, the singers admit to supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine and call on their listeners to do the same. The “Veterans of Russia” public movement also recalled that the members of the “Kasta” band left Russia almost immediately after the start of the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine.
