Vandals write insult on monument to Kadyrov in Moscow

Vandals have painted a derogatory inscription on the monument to Akhmat Kadyrov in Moscow. It was erased by utility workers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 17, 2004, the Moscow government decided to name one of the streets after the deceased president of Chechnya, Akhmat Kadyrov. At the beginning of this street, at the exit from the metro station "Buninskaya Alley", a monument to Akhmat Kadyrov was erected.

At night on November 13, unknown persons painted an inscription on the monument to Akhmat Kadyrov in the Yuzhnoye Butovo District of Moscow, the "Baza" Telegram channel has informed. "After some time, utility workers noticed the inscription and hurried to get rid of it. They managed to quickly wipe the paint off the monument before it dried," the channel says.

Let us remind you that this is not the first incident with the monument to Akhmat Kadyrov in Moscow. Thus, on October 11, 2023, it became known that a pig's head and bacon were thrown at the monument.

After the incident, Dmitry Kudryashov, a Moscow resident, was detained. His father reported that Dmitry and his girlfriend laid a pig's head at the Kadyrov monument, but the action was not religious in nature, but "was rather political."

The pig is an animal forbidden in Islam; and the incident can be regarded as an anti-Muslim action, but throwing parts of a dead animal is offensive in itself, analysts have pointed out.
