Woman from Stavropol Territory fined for discrediting Russian militaries

A court in the Stavropol Territory has fined Anastasia Kalmykova by 30,000 roubles, treating her statement about the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine as discrediting the Russian Army.

The human rights project "OVD-Info"* has reporting citing Anastasia that her female neighbour made a remark to her about the music coming from her house. The neighbour's husband intervened in the conversation, saying that "now is not the time to listen to music, because the SMO is going on." In response, Kalmykova expressed doubt about the appropriateness of the death of SMO participants; these words of her were treated by the court as discrediting the Russian Army.
