Mass searches and arrests of opposition leaders in Tbilisi

Security forces detained the leader of “Akhali” and the “Coalition for Change”, Nika Gvaramia, as well as members of the “Girchi” and “Lelo” parties. The offices of opposition parties and movements are being searched.

The leader of the “Akhali” party and the “Coalition for Change”, Nika Gvaramia, was detained by security forces, he was dragged out, held by his legs and arms, reports “Pirveli” TV.

The “Girchi” party reported the detention of Gela Khasay. Member of the opposition party "Lelo" Saba Buadze said that members of the opposition coalition "Strong Georgia" Vepho Kasradze and Vaso Kadzelashvili were also detained, reports TV.

Security forces also came to search the office of the youth organization of the opposition party "United National Movement" and "Akhali" from the "Coalition for Change". They left the office after requesting documents, reports Georgia Online.

The police also entered the office of the “Droa” party.  A search is also being carried out in the house of the administrator of the Daitove group, Ilia Glonti, writes the Georgia News agency.
