Kuban MPs call on Kadyrov to apologize to Bastrykin

Sergey Kusmakov and Sergey Klimov, two MPs from the Krasnodar Territory, reprimanded Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov for his critical statements addressed to Alexander Bastrykin, the head of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), and called on the leader of Chechnya to apologize.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Ramzan Kadyrov claimed Vladimir Kolokoltsev and Alexander Bastrykin, the heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation, respectively, be incompetent.

“The Murdiev’s case shows that the people who sit at the top, such as Bastrykin and Kolokoltsev, are not in their places,” claimed Ramzan Kadyrov as quoted by the “Chechnya Segodnya” (Chechnya Today) news agency. The teenager, for whom Ramzan Kadyrov stood up, is accused of beating minors on the streets of Moscow, the ICRF reports.

“I am outraged that the head of the region allows himself to ‘show Alexander Bastrykin, the chairman of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation, his place’,” wrote Sergey Kusmakov, a member of the Kropotkin City Council, in his Telegram channel. He has also added: “We will not allow anyone to treat our hero Alexander Bastrykin like that.”
