Student from Adygea who placed video with execution in the Internet asks to stop his case

The student from Adygea, who had placed in the Internet a video record showing execution of Dagestan and Tajikistan natives, has asked the court to stop his case because of his repentance; however, the court has not made a decision on this petition yet.

"The materials of the case arrived to the court on Friday in the evening. So far, I haven't made a decision on how and when it will be considered, as the defendant has filed a petition to stop the case because of his active repentance," Anatoly Gerasimov, Judge of the Maikop City Court, explained by telephone on October 29, as quoted by the RIA "Novosti".

According to Mr Gerasimov, a number of reasons can be the grounds for stopping the case because of active repentance, as, for example, in this case: the absence of defendant's previous conviction, his acknowledgement of guilt and assistance to the investigation.

We remind you that the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office of Adygea has presented a charge under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of Russia (kindling national, racial or religious enmity) to a student from Maikop who placed a record of execution of Dagestan and Tajikistan natives in the Internet.
