Volgograd resident sentenced to colony for online comment

The Southern District Military Court has found a Volgograd resident guilty of extremism.

According to the court, the 45-year-old local resident has posted a comment in a video hosting website justifying the attack of Ukrainian militaries on the Belgorod Region.

The above court has sentenced him to four years in a general regime penal colony. He is also prohibited from engaging in the activities related to the administration of websites and channels on the Internet for three years, the Interfax reports with reference to the FSB (Russian Federal Security Service).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a court in Nalchik sentenced a resident of the village of Shalushka to two years of conditional imprisonment (probation), finding him guilty of publishing calls for extremism in a social network.
