Relatives and colleagues report disappearance of Rostov activist Borzilo
Lyudmila Borzilo, an activist from the Rostov Region, has stopped communicating with her relatives and associates. Earlier, the activist complained about an unfounded criminal case instituted against her and the law enforcement bodies’ demand to undergo a psychiatric examination.
On February 3, Lyudmila Borzilo, a member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), complained that the law enforcement bodies had unfoundedly instituted a criminal case against her and demanded from her to undergo a psychiatric examination. Furthermore, the activist complained that officials were trying to place her children in an orphanage in revenge for her active civic position.
A message from Lyudmila Borzilo complaining about the violation of her rights was received by the SMS service of the “Caucasian Knot”. “I’m a mother of seven children. I am being persecuted for my active civic position. Please cover my story in your media outlet,” the author of the message wrote.
Relatives and friends of Lyudmila Borzilo reported her disappearance to the police. Three young children are left without the care of their mother. The woman was supposed to pick them up from kindergarten, but did not show up.
A defender of Lyudmila Borzilo believes that the woman was detained and taken to a psychiatric hospital. The advocate notes that the activist may be injected with certain drugs at the hospital, after which she will be taken to court in this state in the morning, where her complaint will be considered.
