Relatives suspected of illegally depriving Kizilyurt girl of liberty
A criminal case on illegal deprivation of liberty has been opened in Kizilyurt after the release of a 15-year-old girl, whom her relatives had chained to a heat radiator for educational purposes.
An inquiry has been launched into the above criminal case on illegal liberty deprivation and failure to fulfil duties to educate a minor, the Telegram channel of the Dagestani Branch of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has informed.
The girl was chained by her mother and uncle, the “Chernovik” outlet has explained. They wanted to re-educate the girl, since earlier she had left home more than once, the “Sapa Kavkaz” outlet has added.
The teenage girl, who was chained to a radiator, managed to tie a note asking for help to the TV remote control block and throw it out of the window. A woman passing by found the note and called the police. The operatives agents arrived at the apartment and freed the girl, who is now at a rehabilitation centre, as chain traces were found on her legs – she rubbed them until they bled. The girl also told the policemen that her mother had beaten her up; and scratches were found in the girl's face.
According to sources of the “Mash Gor”, her relatives had chained her because she "disgraced the family" – she complained to her mother about rape and that her classmates were pushing her to use narcotic drugs.
