Ramzan Kadyrov decides to award surviving flight attendants of AZAL plane
The flight attendants of the Baku-Grozny flight who survived the plane crash have been presented for an award for their services to Chechnya. In addition, a memorial plaque will be installed in Grozny.
The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on February 4, the Ministry of Transportations of Kazakhstan released a preliminary report on the plane crash, indicating that the plane was damaged before the crash and that “unidentified objects” were found inside. The Ministry of Transportation of Azerbaijan claimed that the plane was damaged in Russian airspace as a result of external impact. Kazakhstan did not provide any clear conclusions about the causes of the plane crash, and the Ministry of Transportation of Azerbaijan also commented on the report in an overly delicate manner, analysts noted.
On December 25, 2024, an “Azerbaijan Airlines” (AZAL) plane crashed in Kazakhstan, flying from Baku to Grozny. There were 67 people on board. Of them, 29 survived. The emergency situation on board coincided with the drone attack on Grozny, Russian experts stated.
Ramzan Kadyrov announced that he had made a decision to award the surviving crew members of the plane that crashed during the Baku-Grozny flight. Flight attendants Zulfugar Asadov and Aidan Ragimli, who demonstrated their exceptional courage and high professionalism, were nominated for the award “For Services to the Chechen Republic”, Ramzan Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel.
On January 6, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev criticized the Russian authorities for refusing to admit guilt in the plane crash and demanded to punish those responsible for the plane crash.
