On the eve of the elections to the City Duma, Krasnodar teachers are forced to participate in the primaries of "United Russia", they ask parents to send screenshots of the voting, said the deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Alexander Safronov.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, on June 6, the deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Kuban approved the date of the gubernatorial elections, setting the vote for September 14. On June 7, the Kuban branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation supported the idea of nominating Alexander Safronov, who was Veniamin Kondratyev's rival in the 2020 elections, for the gubernatorial elections. On June 18, Safronov submitted documents to the election commission for registration and announced the recruitment of observers to monitor the voting process.

Krasnodar City Duma deputy Alexander Safronov reported on his Telegram channel on July 1 about a planning meeting held on the upcoming elections of Duma deputies. Earlier, he announced that he would ask a question at the meeting about forcing teachers to participate in the United Russia primaries. "When will officials stop forcing teachers to humiliate themselves in front of parents, begging for the treasured screenshots of voting," he asked.

In the video, Safronov asked the question to the Chairman of the Krasnodar City Duma Vera Galushko. In the video, he spoke about "mass reports of coercion of employees of educational institutions to participate in the preliminary voting of "United Russia". Safronov spoke about statements to the Investigative Committee, the presence of screenshots from parent chats. "Campaigning in educational institutions is strictly prohibited," he recalled, adding that there is information about specific schools and with specific names.

The first thing Galushko said in response to the deputy's question was that she spoke about "democratic countries where they force you to vote, they force you, and if someone doesn't go, they fine you." She also said that the Krasnodar administration has nothing to do with what is happening. Safronov noted that there is information about "files with the actual results of the preliminary voting sent to enterprises, which were made electronically on the computer of one of the employees of the Department of Internal Policy."

Answering this question, the first deputy director of the Department of Internal Policy of the Krasnodar administration Victoria Efremenko said that "if the department <...> will comment on the actions of the United Russia party, which operates according to its own charter, it would be incorrect."

Returning to the issue of forcing teachers to participate in primaries, Safronov said that such actions worsen the civic activity of the population.

In 2024, Alexander Safronov supported the residents of Krasnodar who demanded that the construction of the Rozhdestvenskaya embankment in the Yubileiny microdistrict not be allowed. He participated in collecting signatures for a petition to Veniamin Kondratyev and was detained by security forces, as was activist Vitaly Cherkasov. Both were fined 25 thousand rubles, but continued to participate in collecting signatures. At the same time, Safronov initiated a request from a fellow party member in the State Duma to the Prosecutor General's Office with a demand to recognize the terms of the discussion of the general plan as illegal Krasnodar.
