Three soldiers from Rostov region killed in Ukraine

Ruslan Gadzhiev, Rustam Karsliev and Maxim Kotelnikov from the Salsky District were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, the authorities have publicly named 693 combatants from the Rostov Region killed there.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, by July 1, the authorities and security forces recognized at least 690 fighters from the Rostov Region as killed in the SVO zone.

The names of three more servicemen from the Rostov Region killed in Ukraine were named by the head of the Salsky District, Vladimir Berezovsky, reporting on the presentation of posthumous awards to their relatives.

Private Ruslan Gadzhiev signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense in Moscow, served as a gunner, and was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage. The same award was given to Corporal Rustam Karsliev, who, according to the official, "signed an agreement to participate in the SVO in the Storm V unit"1.

Corporal Maxim Kotelnikov signed a contract with the Salsk military registration and enlistment office in the summer of 2024, served as an assistant grenade launcher, and was posthumously awarded the Zhukov Medal, according to a publication on the official Telegram channel of the head of the district.

Thus, at least 693 fighters from the Rostov region have been officially recognized as killed in the war zone in Ukraine. The "Caucasian Knot" maintains a list of names of natives of the North Caucasus and Southern Federal Districts killed in the military operation.
