Drone shot down over the Sea of Azov

The military shot down a drone launched from Ukraine over the Sea of Azov. The threat of attack by unmanned boats has been cancelled in Novorossiysk.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, the Novorossiysk military fended off an attack by unmanned boats last night, the mayor of the city reported.

The air defense on-duty forces shot down one drone over the waters of the Sea of Azov last night, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel at 08:06 Moscow time.

According to the publication, 120 aircraft-type drones were destroyed and intercepted overnight, 119 of which were outside the regions of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts. The department did not mention the attack of unmanned boats on Novorossiysk.

At 06:33 Moscow time, the head of Novorossiysk, Andrei Kravchenko, announced the cancellation of the threat of attack. "Attention! The threat of using unmanned boats (UB) has been cancelled! There is no danger to the residents of Novorossiysk!" he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Recall that on the night of July 5, two drones launched from Ukraine were shot down in the Rostov Region.

A day earlier, 26 drones were shot down in the Rostov Region. At the same time, in the village of Dolotinka, as a result of a drone attack, a floor slab collapsed in a two-story eight-apartment building, killing a pensioner. 20 residents were evacuated from the house. In Azov, a drone explosion damaged the windows of an apartment building where 120 people live. three temporary accommodation points have been opened for them.

In Novorossiysk, on May 3, a drone attack damaged residential buildings, injuring three adults and two children. Authorities reported that 192 apartments were damaged during the attack, six apartments were destroyed.
