Head of Karabudakhkent district taken into custody

The court sent the Dagestani official Makhmud Amiraliev, accused of fraud, to a pretrial detention facility.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, on July 5, the investigation reported that the head of the Karabudakhkent district Makhmud Amiraliev was detained and accused of fraud.

At the request of the investigation, the court chose a measure of restraint for the head of the Karabudakhkent district, the Dagestan department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported today on its Telegram channel.

The official was remanded in custody until September 2, the publication notes. The department did not provide any other details.

The latest publication on behalf of Makhmud Amiraliev in the Telegram channel of the head of the Karabudakhkent district is dated June 15. The publication of June 28 with congratulations on the occasion of Youth Day has already been signed by the acting head of the district administration, Dzhalalutdin Dzhamalutdinov.

Makhmud Amiraliev "suddenly signed a contract three weeks ago and left for the North Military District," he reported on his Telegram channel on July 5 Chairman of the Public Monitoring Commission of Dagestan Shamil Khadulaev. Recall that Makhmud Amiraliev is the nephew of the former Secretary of State of Dagestan Magomed-Sultan Magomedov, the Dagestan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company reported on July 5.

Magomed-Sultan Magomedov was detained by security forces on June 25. Searches were conducted at the Secretary of State himself and at his relatives in Dagestan and Moscow. Magomedov was released on bail. The Soviet District Court of Makhachkala ruled to nationalize his oil transshipment complex and related companies, whose property had previously been seized. Two Moscow apartments of Magomedov's relatives were also seized. On July 1, it became known that Magomedov was dismissed.
