A queue of 950 cars formed in front of the Crimean Bridge in Kuban

Drivers of 950 cars are waiting to cross the bridge across the Kerch Strait in Krasnodar Krai.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, on Sunday, July 6, by 06:00 Moscow time, a queue of 310 cars had formed in front of the Crimean Bridge from the Taman side. By 10:00 Moscow time, 730 cars were already stuck in the traffic jam. Telegram users reported that they spent about two hours in a traffic jam.

As of 07:00 Moscow time, 950 cars are in line to the Crimean Bridge from the Taman side, the Information Center for Roads to the Crimean Bridge reported on its Telegram channel.

"The waiting time is about three hours. There is no line in front of the inspection point from the Kerch side," – the message says.

According to hourly publications, there were no queues in front of the bridge at night and at 04:00 Moscow time, and at 05:00 Moscow time, there were already 350 cars in the queue from the Taman side. At 06:00 Moscow time, the queue grew to 540 cars. There was no queue from the Kerch side.

Today, users of the "Crimean Bridge Chat" telegram chat also reported traffic jams in front of the bridge from the Kuban side. "Wow, I see there are already 600 cars at 6 am. Anyone who decided to cross the empty bridge while it's not hot?" - wrote Pavlunin Aleksandr at 06:08 Moscow time.

"It's Monday, there are usually a lot of cars. Moscow just got there, for those whose vacation started on Monday," Maxim responded. "I happily assumed that they would all get through on Sunday, and bought it on Monday. Apparently, in vain," Pavlunin Aleksandr noted in response.

"We got stuck in a traffic jam at 5:30, the bridge is still a looooong way away," Mikhail shared at 06:58 Moscow time.

Recall that on July 17, 2023, the Crimean Bridge was attacked by Ukrainian drones, one span was destroyed, another was damaged. Traffic on the bridge was restored only on November 1 of the same year.

On October 8, 2022, an explosion occurred on the Crimean Bridge, and two spans collapsed. Vladimir Putin called the incident a terrorist attack, and the FSB stated that the organizer of the terrorist attack was the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Traffic on the bridge was restored a month later.
