Chechen authorities react to beating of students at Hafiz school

The Chechen Investigative Committee reported on the investigation of a video showing the beating of underage students. The regional Commissioner for Children's Rights reported that the incident occurred a month and a half ago, and the teacher was fired.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, cruelty towards children is unacceptable, social network users commented on the video of the beating of students at the Hafiz school in Chechnya.

Investigators in Chechnya have organized an investigation in connection with the publication of a video in which a teacher at a school in the city of Gudermes hits underage students with a stick. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the regional Investigative Committee.

"During monitoring of social media, a video was found in which a school teacher in the city of Gudermes hits two underage students with a stick. Based on this fact, the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Chechen Republic has organized a pre-investigation check under Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (torture)," the report says.

It should be noted that this provision of the law provides for imprisonment for up to 7 years, if the crime "was committed against two or more persons."

The regional Commissioner for Children's Rights, Khamzat Khirakhmatov, reported that the incident occurred a month and a half ago, "which led to the dismissal of the teacher," noted the Telegram channel "ChP/Chechnya_95", which published the official's address recorded in Chechen.

In addition, the mother of one of the victims published photos on social networks with numerous bruises on the child's body, the Telegram channel "Beware, News" reports.

Earlier, a video was distributed online showing a teacher hitting one of the students with a pointer, and hitting the second boy on the head several times with her hand. Earlier, a history teacher at a comprehensive school in the village of Chervlenaya in the Shelkovsky district beat one of her students with a wooden stick.
