Part of Nalchik and a number of municipal settlements were left without water and power supply due to bad weather, the head of the republic, Kazbek Kokov, reported.

"Today, as a result of adverse weather conditions in the form of heavy rain and squally wind in the city of Nalchik, there was a power outage at the Khasanya, Volny Aul, Lesopolosa, Kenzhe, Kishpek water intakes, and water intake for the Golovnoy Water Intake was suspended," Kokov wrote in his Telegram channel.

As a result, water supply to the Industrial Zone, the village of Adiyukh, and parts of the villages of Belaya Rechka and Khasanya was limited. Due to broken power lines, a number of streets in Nalchik are without power.

In addition, there are cases of trees falling and damage to cars parked nearby.

Kokov noted that no one was injured in Kabardino-Balkaria as a result of the elements.

"Emergency recovery work is underway in all areas. At the same time, the territory is being surveyed. I am personally monitoring the situation," Kokov said.

A number of streets in Nalchik are flooded, according to videos published on the "ChP Nalchik" Telegram channel. In particular, videos have been published showing roads covered with water on the streets of Pacheva, Shogentsukova, and Vatutina.

Fallen trees are also reported.
