Train traffic restored at drone crash site in Rostov region

Train traffic has resumed on a section of the railway in the Rostov region where the power grid was damaged as a result of a drone attack.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, the railway's contact power grid was damaged today on the Likhaya - Zamchalovo section in the Rostov region as a result of a drone attack. The movement of more than 50 long-distance trains has been suspended, and a number of commuter trains have been cancelled, Russian Railways reported.

Train traffic has been resumed on the Likhaya - Zamchalovo section after power was supplied to the contact network, Russian Railways reported.

"The delayed trains are gradually departing on their routes. Russian Railways is taking all necessary measures to minimize the time of deviation from the passenger train schedule. Restoration work on the Likhaya - Zamchalovo section continues," says a publication posted on the official Telegram channel "Telegram of Russian Railways".

We remind you that last night, as a result of a drone attack, a railway employee was injured and taken to hospital. Several private houses in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky also caught fire. In the Kamensky district, a transformer burned down due to a drone attack, leaving five settlements without power, said the acting governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusar.

According to the Ministry of Defense, at night in the Rostov region, the military shot down 24 drones launched from the side of Ukraine.
