Military reported 12 drones shot down in Rostov region

12 drones launched from Ukraine were shot down in Rostov Oblast overnight.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, last night, as a result of a drone attack, the roof of a railway station in the village of Kamenolomni in the Oktyabrsky District caught fire. In the same village, a flower shop caught fire, and in the village of Rakovo in the Krasnosulinsky District, a private house, a summer kitchen, and two cars were damaged. The fires in the village of Kamenolomni were extinguished. In addition, drones were shot down in Shakhty, Novoshakhtinsk and Novocherkassk.

Last night, 12 drones launched from Ukraine were shot down in the Rostov region, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.

Another 62 drones were intercepted and destroyed in the Moscow, Kursk, Bryansk, Kaluga, Tula and Lipetsk regions, the publication notes.

Recall that the incident at the Kamenolomny station led to a disruption in the passenger train schedule: 26 trains were delayed for periods ranging from 13 minutes to 4.5 hours. Traffic through the Kamenolomny station "is carried out at reduced speed," the North Caucasus Railways stated.

On the night of July 19, due to damage to the railway's electrical network on the Likhaya - Zamchalovo section in the Rostov Region, train traffic was also stopped. It was resumed the same day, but the incident led to delays in the movement of trains. The next day, July 20, 132 passenger trains were delayed for periods ranging from half an hour to 15 hours, and the schedule of 10 trains was also changed.

In addition, as a result of the drone attack on July 19, a railway employee on duty at the Likhaya station was injured. She was taken to the hospital, and then transported to the Rostov clinic of Russian Railways.
