Drone crashes onto road in Rostov region

In Kamensky District, after a drone fell on the road near the Pogorelov farm, traffic was blocked and buses were cancelled. The Ministry of Defense reported 16 UAVs destroyed in Rostov Oblast.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, on the night of August 5, a substation in Millerovsky District and a canopy of a private house in Tatsinsky District caught fire after the military destroyed drones. The fire was extinguished, no one was hurt. The Ministry of Defense reported seven UAVs shot down over Rostov Oblast.

Air defense repelled a drone attack in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, Kamensky, Rodionovo-Nesvetaisky and Tatsinsky Districts. In the Zolotarevka farm in the Rodionovo-Nesvetaysky district, almost 200 residents of 87 houses were left without electricity due to damage to the power line. Power engineers will carry out repair and restoration work during the day, said Acting Governor of the Rostov Region Yuri Slyusar.

In the village of Tatsinskaya, three families living in it were evacuated due to a grass fire near a residential building. The fire was quickly extinguished.

In the Kamensky district, an aircraft-type UAV suppressed by electronic warfare equipment fell on the road from Kamensk-Shakhtinsky to the village of Gluboky near a bus stop near the Pogorelov farm. Traffic on the road is blocked, the area is cordoned off. A bomb squad has been called in. Public transport on three routes is currently not operating; traffic on them on this section will resume after the danger is eliminated.

Due to an emergency power outage on a high-voltage line, several settlements in the Kamensky district (Verkhniy Pikhovkin farm, Kamenogorye village, Berezovy farm, Astakhov farm) were switched to a backup power supply. Due to interruptions in power supply, the operation of the Talovaya Balka water intake was disrupted. An emergency team has been dispatched to the scene, the head of the region reported on his Telegram channel.

He added that no one was hurt in any of these cases.

From 23:00 Moscow time on August 5 to 05:30 Moscow time on August 6, air defense systems on duty over Russian regions destroyed and intercepted 51 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles, including 16 over the territory of the Rostov Region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on its Telegram channel.
