Press service of the president of Chechnya: Kadyrov is not going to close TV Companies

The leader of Chechnya is not going to stop TV Companies for absence of religious propaganda in their programs. This news was disseminated by the press service of the President and Government of the Chechen Republic, which has stated that the information of mass media about this sort of Ramzan Kadyrov's plans was a wrong interpretation of the recent press release.

"President had a meeting with representatives of small independent TV studios, which are broadcasting in the Republic's districts and villages, sometimes without license and specially allocated frequencies. The main topic of the meeting dated to the Day of Russian Press was announced by the President of the Chechen Republic to be provision of state assistance to these TV studios in organizing their work in compliance with the adopted legislation norms, Kadyrov's press service has explained.

According to the press service, at the meeting Ramzan Kadyrov recommended TV people "to give up the practice of counterfeit demonstration of western films and video clips, as it is contradictory to the legislation in force," and also warned them against putting on air pornographic materials.
