In Dagestan, psychological examination appointed to "Chernovik" editor-in-chief

Maxim Mirzabalaev, inspector for especially important cases of the Investigatory Department of the Investigatory Committee under the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of Russia for Dagestan has passed a statement to appoint forensic psychological examination of Nadira Isaeva, editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik" (Blueprint) weekly.

Let us note here that Ms Isaeva, against whom a criminal case was initiated, believes that the main aim of law enforcement bodies is to recognize the weekly as an extremist organization and to close it.

In the meantime, yesterday, on August 27, Nadira Isaeva received a notification about appointment of psychological examination, dated August 19, as the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.

The RIA "Novosti" reports that the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan sent articles and texts of radio broadcasts of the well-known journalist Yulia Latynina, published in the "Chernovik", to examination for appeals to extremism that can be present in them. Inspectors do not exclude a possible interrogation of Ms Latynina and a search of her house, said a spokesman of the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan.

On August 26, workers of the Prosecutor's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Dagestan started searching houses of "Chernovik" employees under the criminal case against editor-in-chief Nadira Isaeva accused of extremism.

According to the information received by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent from a source in the "Chernovik" newspaper, searches are conducted in houses of Hadjimurat Kamalov, founder of the newspaper and director of the LLC "Freedom of Speech", editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik" Nadira Isaeva and Arthur Mammaev, editor of the politics section.
