Human rights activist Mutsolgov disbelieves in accidental murder of Magomed Evloev in Ingushetia

Magomed Mutsolgov, a human rights activist from Ingushetia and leader of the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization (ANCO) "Mashr", does not believe that Magomed Evloev, owner of the "Ingushetia.Ru" oppositional website, was fatally wounded as a result of a random shot.

In his interview to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent Mr Mutsolgov has reminded that Evloev was openly prosecuted by the authorities of Ingushetia.

"It was done rather publicly, with applications to the Prosecutor's Office, appeals of the authorities demanding to close the "Ingushetia.Ru" website and permanent litigations," said Mutsolgov. "The President (Murat Zyazikov, - note of the "Caucasian Knot") himself had repeatedly called the website "a scrap-heap" in his interviews and at press conferences".

In the opinion of the human rights activist, it is impossible to casually kill a person by a direct shot in his temple. While to detain a person or summon him for interrogation, there is a definite procedure described in the Code of Criminal Procedure, Mr Mutsolgov has emphasized.
