Farid Babaev's murder trial starts in Dagestan

Today, the Supreme Court of Dagestan will hold the first hearing on the resonant case about the murder of Farid Babaev, leader of the Dagestan regional branch of the "Yabloko" Party and candidate for the State Duma. Judge Ibram Garunov will chair the trial, which will be held with participation of jurymen.

We remind you that the Supreme Court of Dagestan managed to form the jury on October 15 only after the fifth attempt.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 15 the process was postponed for non-appearance of jurymen; then, only 6 of them arrived to the court. On August 5, the hearing was again postponed for the same reason, as none of the candidates for the jury then appeared. Later attempts to form the jury - on September 8 and September 26 - were also a failure because of poor appearance of candidates for jurymen.

The prisoners' dock houses directly accused of murdering Farid Babaev - Rakhil Mamedrizaev and his accomplice Seferali Sefimerzoev. The customer of the murder is still not detected.
