Russian Supreme Court refuses to revise Boris Stomakhin's verdict

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has refused to revise the verdict to the publicist of the website "Kavkaz-Centre" Boris Stomakhin convicted to five years of colony for kindling interethnic enmity and extremism. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed about it by his mother Regina Stomakhina.

She was informed about the rejection of the supervising complaint on her son's verdict at the office of the Supreme Court. The complaint was lodged by advocate Alexei Golubev back in summer and supported by Russian Ombudsman Vladimir Lukin.

Regina Stomakhina said that she was not afflicted by rejection of the complaint, since she did not believe in its success from the very beginning. Now, the last instance to appeal against the verdict remains - the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.

In March 2009, Boris Stomakhin's defence is going to lodge again to the Tonshaev District Court of the Nizhniy Novgorod Region a petition on his conditional early relief.

Earlier, on September 11, the Tonshaev District Court of the Nizhniy Novgorod Region, at its visiting session held at the Corrective Colony No. 4, in Burepolom settlement, repeatedly rejected Boris Stomakhin's petition on conditional early relief.
